B-52 SINGER'S ENTREATIES WILL PROBABLY BOMB IN ITALY

B-52s lead singer Kate Pierson led a procession of animal rights activists through St. Peter's Square on Saturday to appeal for a meat-free Easter.

Holding a giant scroll reading, "Thou shall not kill--Go vegetarian," Pierson and the group urged Italians to choose a meatless Easter meal instead of lamb, a traditional holiday dish.On Sunday, Pierson planned to be host of a vegetarian dinner at a Rome disco and share her favorite recipes with fans.
