The Winter Olympics' possible effects on rural Utah communities will be discussed at a luncheon-meeting by Bob Hunter, community relations director for the Utah Olympic Bid Committee. The public is invited. The luncheon will cost $8. For reservations, call Elaine Costa, 896-4241.

When: Noon, Wednesday.

Where: Day's Inn, 333 N. Main.


A centennial choir will be organized in Sevier County under the direction of Jani Pearson and Laura Morris. Choir members will sing patriotic, traditional, folk, modern and Utah's special music. Children and adults who want to join can attend an organizational meeting.

When: Thursday, at 7 p.m.

Where: LDS Fifth Ward chapel, 190 W 400 North.
