DEATH: ELAINE B. RICHMOND

Elaine Isabel Boyle Richmond, 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died April 16, 1995 at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City of congestive heart failure.

Born April 9, 1916 at Tooele, Utah, the daughter of Andrew Robert Boyle and Judith Isabel Cederstrom Boyle. Married John Albert (Jack) Richmond January 22, 1938 in Salt Lake City. They had two children.Survivors include: husband, Jack; a son, J. Dennis, Salt Lake City; a daughter, Daryl Lynn Thompson, Bountiful; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, one sister and a grandchild who both died at birth.

"Grandma Isabel" was born on Easter Sunday and died on Easter Sunday, on the birthday of her oldest grandson, Douglas. Elaine was retired from Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph with 25 years of service as a long distance operator, having begun her career at its predecessor, Wasatch Telephone & Telegraph in Salt Lake City. She was also employed for shorter periods as a PBX operator for the Salt Lake Tribune & Telegram and at EIMCO Corporation. She graduated from South High School with its first senior class in 1933. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as Primary president in the old Fifth Ward in Temple View Stake. While her children were in school she served as PTA president at the Grant School in Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, at 12 noon, in the Russon Brothers Mortuary Chapel, 255 So. 200 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
