Glenn Edward Butterfield, 84, died April 17, 1995 at his home.

Born July 27, 1910 in Montpelier , Idaho to John Edward and Gladys F. Hanson Butterfield. Married Melba Bills June 9, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Active member of LDS Church, he served in the Jordan River Temple the past 10 years. Known as a great Horseman.

Survived by his wife, Melba, Riverton; children, Lamar (Maxine) Butterfield, and Kathryn (Brent) Powell, both South Jordan; Gladys (Grant) Page, Provo; Lynn (Martha) Butterfield, Logan; 38 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; brothers, Preston, Sherwood, and Woodruff, all Herriman.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the Riverton 17th Ward, 12830 South 2700 West. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West and on Friday, one hour prior at the chruch. Interment at the Herriman Cemetery.
