WEEKEND ACCIDENTS CLAIM OREGON MAN AND A UTAH TEEN

An Oregon man and a Utah teen died in separate accidents last week in southern Utah.

Killed were: Jason Carolus, 21, Oregon, and Brent Browning, 15.Carolus died at the scene when a Chevy Blazer rolled Saturday 20 miles east of Kanab in Kane County, according to the Department of Public Safety's Highway Safety division.

Carolus, who was a passenger in the Blazer, was not wearing a seat belt. Another passenger was injured; the driver suffered only minor injuries in the 1:40 p.m. accident.

Browning, a sophomore at Taylorsville High, died Thursday of injuries suffered in a Jeep rollover about 6 p.m. near Crescent Junction, Grand County, on I-70. The driver, 16-year-old Elizabeth King of West Valley City, was transported to a Grand Junction, Colo., hospital. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
