Leroy Phippen Murphy, 82, died April 17, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born February 18, 1913 in Salt Lake City to Frank and Julia Phippen Murphy. He was a member of the LDS Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He worked for Granite Furniture for 45 years retiring February 18, 1978.

Survived by nieces and nephews, Bernice L. King, Jean L. Beckstrand, Reed L. Lambert, Richard M. Frederickson, Colleen M. Rodgers, Melvin Murphy, Lamount Murphy and Sam Murphy. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Florence M. Lambert, Julia May Murphy, Francis Ray Murphy, Earl Lucine Murphy, Leona M. Young.Graveside services will be held Friday, April 21, 1995 at 12 noon at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Belmont Section), 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
