BRIGHAM CITY COLLISION CLAIMS LIVES OF 4 PEOPLE

A two-car accident at the intersection of 1100 South and Main Street claimed the lives of four people and sent four others to area hospitals Saturday.

A car heading westbound on 1100 South failed to stop at a traffic light at approximately 11:52 a.m., according to a Brigham City police report. As the vehicle proceeded into the intersection, it struck a northbound car. A man and one woman died at the scene, police said.Another woman and an infant were taken by ambulance to Brigham City Community Hospital and later transported by medical helicopter to a Salt Lake hospital where they died.

Police provided no information on the victims, pending notification of relatives. However, reports from a witness at the scene indicate the dead women and infant were from Perry, Box Elder County, and the other victim was a California man.

No information on the injured victims was released at press time.
