DEATH: LOVINA ABBOTT RELL

Lovina Abbott Rell, 81, died of natural causes March 31, 1995, at home with her family in Sandy, Utah.

Born July 22, 1913 in LaGrande, Oregon to John Austin and Chrissie Evelyn Whitney Abbott. Married Herbert Gerald Rell on September 2, 1940. He died April 20, 1978.She was a resident of Stockton, California for 30 years, before moving to Sandy. She was an accomplished cook, seamstress and listener, along with other related serving skills. Enjoyed good books, music, dance, and her newly discovered ability to draw. She faithfully attended all grandchildren's activities. She enjoyed attending LDS Institute classes, and writing her personal history. Served diligently in all of her church callings. Proud of her "missionary" work in the Family History Name Extraction Program for many years. Her greatest joy was her daughter. Her life was one of service, and cheering, and giving and sacrificing for those she loved.

Survived by daughter, Pamela R. (Steven F.) Clark, Sandy; grandchildren, Branden (Shanna), Kimberlee (Nathan) Easton, Garrett and Tanner; brothers, Stowell Abbott, St. George; Austin Abbott, Sacramento, Calif. Preceded in death by parents, husband, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services, Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at 1 p.m. in the Mountain Oaks Ward Chapel, 11755 South Highland Drive. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, California on Thursday.
