I-15 STRETCH STILL SHUT AFTER TANKER OVERTURNS

A 30-mile stretch of I-15 remained closed Thursday morning after a propane tanker overturned near Yuba Lake.

Both north and south lanes of the interstate were blocked off from mileposts 222 to 188, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. The tanker overturned near the Yuba Lake exit. The driver was not injured, a Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher said.Southbound traffic was rerouted to U-28 at Nephi, Juab County. Motorists traveling north were diverted off I-15 at Scipio to travel on U-50.

UDOT thought its cleanup crews would be on the scene of the accident for several hours.
