Thora Nielson Tapp, age 86, passed away April 18, 1995, in Salt Lake City, at the home of her daughter, Renee Burton, after a lifelong struggle with a painful spinal disease. May she rest in peace.

Born January 16, 1909, in Levan, Utah, to Orson and Maud Warren Nielson. She married Clive G. Tapp on June 21, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Thora was a gifted, artistic person who had a zest for life and accomplishment. She played and composed music for the organ and also played the piano, harmonica, and quitar professionally. In her early years she shared her talents in various church callings.Survived by her husband, Clive Tapp, Malad, Idaho; daughter, Mrs. William (Renee) Burton, Salt Lake City; grandsons, Russell (Sue) Burton, Kyle (Pat) Burton; sisters, Floris Stevenson, Aurora, Colorado; and Delsa Madsen, Salt Lake City. Great grandchildren, Alissa, Blake, Tim, Parker Burton.

Private family graveside services will be held Saturday April 22, 1995 at the Elysian Burial Gardens. Friends and family may call on Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the LDS Missionary Fund or Primary Children's Hospital.
