FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR SURGEON ROBERT WOOLF

Funeral services for Dr. Robert M. Woolf, 72, a Salt Lake plastic surgeon, will be held at noon Friday in the Federal Heights LDS Ward chapel, 1300 E. Fairfax Road.

Former president of the Salt Lake Surgical Society and LDS Hospital medical staff, Dr. Woolf died April 17, 1995, of cancer in his Salt Lake home. He had been ill about six weeks.Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. No viewing will be held before the funeral Friday. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Dr. Woolf received his medical degree in 1946 from the University of Utah, where he had been clinical professor of plastic surgery. He completed an internship at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. After serving as a medical officer in the Army, he returned to Iowa for training in general surgery and later was certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke University.

His special interests included hand surgery, repair of cleft lips and palates and training of residents. He retired from his surgical career in 1986.

He was president of the Salt Lake Country Club and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
