Developments in the Oklahoma bombing case:
- Pope John Paul II called the Oklahoma City bombing an "unspeakable crime" in a message to President Clinton. The Vatican said the message read in part: "His Holiness has been deeply saddened by the deplorable act of violence . . . he prays to God for the victims and invokes divine strength and comfort on the injured and on the families affected."- President Clinton and his wife, Hillary, will attend prayer services Sunday in Oklahoma City for those killed in the bombing.
- Nearly nine out of 10 adults say an attack similar to the Oklahoma City bombing could occur in the United States in the near future, a USA Today-CNN-Gallup Poll published Friday has found. Nearly half think preventing an attack is next to impossible.
- The FBI has set up a nationwide hotline for information about the bombing: 1-800-905-1514.
