Florence Manwill Robertson, 75, died April 20, 1995 in Payson, Utah.

She was born on March 6, 1920 in Payson, Utah to John Vernon and Elizabeth Ann Keele Manwill. She married LeMont Robertson on November 12, 1941 in Manti, Utah. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1988.Florence graduated from Payson High School where she edited the school paper and also received her degree from Snow College where she served as yearbook editor. Following her marriage to LeMont Robertson, the couple ranched and ran sheep in Colorado and Montana until 1957. After they moved back home to Utah, Florence worked for the Utah State Department of Social Services for 28 years, serving as the secretary to three directors. She finished her career as an intake/eligibility technician for the Department of Family of Services.

An active member of the LDS Church, Florence served as Relief Society president in the District Primary presidency and also held various teaching assignments. At the time of her death, she was an active member of the Spring Creek Ninth Ward.

Florence was also very involved in her community. She served as the secretary to the Salvation Army Board of Directors for ten years, volunteered with the United Way, belonged to the National Secretaries' Association, served on the board for the Business Education Dept. at Utah Technical College and on the Board for Elder Quest.

She will be missed by her many friends and family members.

She is survived by one daughter and three sons: Frank and Lynne Robertson Greene of Yakima, Wash.; James Manwill and Darlyne Smithhart Robertson of Payson, Arizona; Nicholas Mont, and Pat Morgan Robertson, and John Marlin, and Judy Lynn Daybell Robertson, all Springville. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters and their spouses, Stan and Irene Manwill Cahoon and Allen and Elizabeth Manwill Taylor; two brothers-in-law, Dell B. White and Frank H. Booth. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathy Robertson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the Spring Creek Ninth Ward Chapel, 55 North Main, Springville. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Monday, from 12 to 1:30 p.m.. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville. Burial, Payson Cemetery.
