BENEFIT FOR DISASTER VICTIMS IS MAY 13

Participants in the eighth annual Salt Lake City Crop Walk May 13 will help victims of the California flooding, survivors of one of the most devastating earthquakes in Japan and the homeless in Salt Lake City.

The 10K walk will start at 1:30 p.m. with registration at 1 p.m. The walk begins at Liberty Park and makes a loop through downtown Salt Lake City.The walk is sponsored by Church World Service, an interfaith event open to all churches, denominations, individuals and groups. Proceeds benefit five local agencies: the Good Samaritan Program, Crossroads Urban Center, St. Vincent De Paul Center, Utahns Against Hunger and the Salvation Army.
