MOBILE WATCH EXPANDS TO 6 COUNTY COMMUNITIES

Salt Lake County Sheriff Aaron Kennard announced plans to expand the county's Mobile Neighborhood Watch Program from two communities to six.

In October of last year, the sheriff's office began pilot programs in East Millcreek, Canyon Rim and a condominium property known as Old Farm in the Millcreek area.Because of a number of requests from county residents, the sheriff's office decided to expand the program to Magna, Kearns, Taylorsville-Bennion, and the current areas for expanded programs.

May 13 and 20 are training days, which will include observing the sheriff's dispatchers and riding with officers on patrol.

Application forms for interested residents are available at sheriff's substations in Holladay, Riverton and Kearns and at the administration building, 2001 S. State, suite S-2700. Anyone with questions can call Bill Morris at 468-3922.
