Beth Stringham Thompson, age 79, died peacefully at her home in Centerville, Utah on April 21, 1995.

She was born in Bountiful, Utah on February 17, 1916, the 14th of 15 children, to Richard and Elizabeth Ann Barlow Stringham.Attended Davis County schools and was student body vice-president at Davis High School. Also attended the University of Nevada at Reno. She worked at Auerbach's in Salt Lake until her marriage on December 15, 1939 to Philip Thompson. Later divorced.

She worked as a secretary for G.E. and Batelle Northwest in Richland, Washington for many years where she was active in the LDS Church, and enjoyed her artistic talents of painting, gardening and flower arranging. She moved back to Utah in June of 1990.

Survived by sons, Jeffrey (Dee) of Laurel, Md.; Brent (Diane) of Carlisle, Pa.; five grandchildren; brothers, Dell Stringham of Ogden, Harmon Stringham and Howard Stringham, both of Bountiful; sister, Mary Law of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 11 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Bountiful Cemetery.
