Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and treasured friend, Robert Adelbert Naylor, returned peacefully to his eternal Father in Heaven April 22, 1995, ending his 100-year sojourn upon this earth. He died at his home surrounded by members of his loving family.

He was born September 22, 1894, in West Jordan, Utah to Joseph and Charlotte Palmer Naylor. He married the love of his life, Bertha M. Hughes, December 23, 1916. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they provided a home filled with love, music and security.As a member of the LDS Church, he sang in ward choirs, served in both the Sunday school and high priests presidencies, and as a home teacher. Dad devoted his entire life to the love and caring of his family, always exemplifying the value of hard work, honesty and compassion to all.

Through his music, magnetic personality, brilliance, and keen sense of humor, his life was enriched by a vast circle of loving friends. His beautiful voice brought joy and comfort to all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Adelbert H. (Jeanette) Naylor, Roy E. (Wanda) Naylor, Farrell (John) Clayton, Marva (Deal) Sorenson, Melva Prior, RaNae (Neldon) Conder, Joan (Jim) Roberts, Fran Applegate; daughter-in-law, Lillian Naylor; 27 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchilren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, and son Dr. David J. Naylor.

Funeral services Wednesday, April 26, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Jordan River 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 10200 South 1300 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
