DEATH: H. LYNN VOWLES

H. Lynn Vowles of Salt Lake City passed away suddenly of heart failure, April 23, 1995.

He was born Sept. 14, 1915 in Tooele, Utah, a son of Herbert Hardwick Vowles and Mary Adeline Dunn. He married Eva Marian Wright July 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had worked for Mountain Fuel Supply until his retirement after 35 years of service. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as bishop of the 21st Ward, as high councilman and stake clerk of the Emigration Stake, as ward choir director, and in many other positions in the church. He loved music, and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family and will be missed by all his family and many friends.Survivors include his wife, Eva, Salt Lake City; children, Alan (Margo), Louisiana; Lynneve (Gary) Schaugaard, California; Marcia Anne (Lynn) Knight, Ogden; Judy (Phillip) Yeates, and Marian (Gregory) King, both of Salt Lake City; a daughter-in-law, Tamyrra Vowles, Bountiful; a brother, Ned (Edna) Vowles, Bountiful; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 27th, in the Salt Lake 21st Ward, 2nd Ave & K Street. Friends may call at the Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and at the Church Thursday 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
