1 TRANSIENT JAILED, ANOTHER TREATED AFTER KNIFE FIGHT

A transient man was in jail Tuesday and another man injured following a Sunday knife fight in West Valley City.

Larry Cailloutte, 45, was treated at Pioneer Valley Hospital for stab wounds to the throat, chest and wrist and later discharged.Police arrested a 42-year-old man Sunday and booked him into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of attempted murder, West Valley police Sgt. Lynn Hanson said.

Cailloutte told police he had fought with another transient man in a field near 1274 W. Parkway Ave. (2455 South) Sunday night. The jailed man was eventually located hiding in a house in the same area, Hanson said.
