DEATH: CAPTAIN PAUL EDWIN CAREY

Captain Paul Edwin Carey, 32, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 17, 1995 after a tragic aricraft accident near Alexander City, Alabama.

Paul was born to Thomas A. and Karen Tibbitts Cary on May 22, 1962 in Hartford, Connecticutt. He attended schools in Kansas City and Leavenworth, Kansas, graduating from Leavenworth High School in 1980.Paul served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1981-83 in Osaka, Japan. He married Michelle Gordon of Bountiful, Utah in the Salt Lake Temple July 17, 1986. Upon graduation from BYU in 1987, Paul received a commission in the United States Air Force.

Paul is survived by his wife, Michelle; children, Patrice Marie, 6, Shawn Thomas, 4; and Chris Gordon, 7 months; parents, Thomas A. and Karen T . Carey of Leavenworth, Kansas; grandparents, Thomas A. and Helen G. Carey of Ponca, Neb.; and Nora Tibbitts of Bountiful; brothers, Scott (Sue), Largo, Fla.; Brent (Teresa), Orem; Mark (Sonja), Houston, Texas; and sisters, Janice (Phil) Greenhalgh, Brigham City; and Christine, Provo; nieces, nephews, mother and father-in-law, Laraine and Lyle Gordon of Bountiful.

Military services were held at Randolph AFB, Texas on Friday, and LDS Funeral services on Saturday, April 22. Graveside services at Memorial Estates in Bountiful, Saturday, April 29th.
