2 TREATED FOR STAB WOUNDS AFTER FIGHT IN PARKING LOT

A fight in the parking lot of Timpview High School Wednesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with knife wounds.

A 17-year-old Timpview student and a 22-year-old man were treated for lacerations at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and released.Provo Police Capt. George Pierpont said a group of students were walking through the parking lot at about 2:30 p.m. when they got into an argument with the 22-year-old man, who was sitting in a car. The group approached the man, and the 17-year-old student punched him through the window.

The man got out of his car with a box cutter in his hand and was slugged by another teen, which caused him to drop the box cutter. The 17-year-old picked up the cutter and got into a scuffle with the 22-year-old. During the scuffle both men suffered severe lacerations. The 22-year-old suffered cuts to his forehead and ear. The teen suffered a laceration to his wrist.
