Corrine Hill, education deputy for Gov. Mike Leavitt, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Utah County Republican Women Monday, May 1, at noon in the third-floor ballroom of the Historic County Courthouse, 51 S. University Ave.
Hill will address the challenges of improving education in Utah. She was principal of Wasatch Elementary School in the Salt Lake City School District for six years and has just completed a term as president of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum De-vel-opment, an international group of more than 100,000 members.Members are urged to bring a friend, and visitors are welcome. A light luncheon will be served. This will be the last meeting for the season. Regular meetings will resume Sept. 11.
