The early 1800s will be relived this weekend as Antelope Island State Park combines tours of the Fielding Garr Ranch House with the Silverado Mountain Man Rendezvous.
Among the competitions the mountain men will participate in is muzzle-loader shooting, park manager Tim Smith said. Other events include tomahawk and knife throws.The 11-mile gravel road to the Fielding Garr Ranch House on the island's south end will be open this weekend between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The rendezvous campsite will be just south of the ranch house.
The regular state park entrance fee of $5 will be charged.
