Organizers of the Women's Conference at Brigham Young University will follow a scripture from Mosiah that emphasizes unity and love as the theme for its annual meeting Thursday and Friday, May 4 and 5.

Conference chairwoman Jeanne Bryan Inouye said the conference focus, taken from Mosiah 18:21, "Hearts knit together in unity and love," reflects the emphasis late LDS President Howard W. Hunter placed on how people should treat each other. The conference will feature four general sessions in the Marriott Center and more than 50 concurrent sessions. It will open with a 9 a.m. welcome May 4 from BYU President Rex E. Lee and a keynote address by Sandra Rogers titled "Broken Hearts Will Knit Hearts." Rogers is dean of the College of Nursing at BYU.

Sessions free to the public include May 4 evening sessions and selected video replays of earlier sessions, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., a fireside at 7 p.m. in the Marriott Center May 4 and a women's art exhibit in the Museum of Art at BYU. A collection of paintings, samplers, quilts and miscellaneous textiles plus watercolors and calligraphy will show how LDS women of all ages and in different parts of the world are bound together through love and faith.

Information about registering for the conference is available through BYU Conferences and Work-shops, 378-7692.
