Police believe the bomb detonated at about 2 a.m. when the church, located at about 3410 N. Canyon Road, was empty. A family living in a downstairs apartment was unhurt.Neighbors heard the blast, but damage was not discovered until a janitor arrived at the church a few hours later. Besides blowing out the glass door, the explosion damaged three paintings hanging in a hallway near the door.
