STAMP OF APPROVAL - TOWN HAILS TEEN, STAMP DEBUT

Today is Brian Hailes Day in Millville, Cache County, which is celebrating issuance of the environmental postage stamp the teen designed.

Portraying a boy planting a tree, the stamp is available at post offices nationwide. Fifty million stamps featuring the design were printed.The Millville Post Office produced a special environmental postmark for the event. Including Hailes' name, the postmark is free and will be available at the post office for 30 days. Those wanting to receive the postmark, which can be applied to virtually anything with a stamp on it, in the mail should affix a first-class stamp to a self-addressed envelope The envelope should be placed in a larger envelope and addressed to Environmental Postmark, Millville Postmaster, 70 W. 200 North, Millville, UT 84326-9998.
