James E. Gardner, 95, died April 28, 1995 in Price.

He was born July 2, 1899 to George Albert and Sarah Chase Gardner in Huntington, Utah. He married Maudeen Prisbrey May 28, 1928 in the St. George LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS Church, having served in many positions. He operated Gardner Barber Shop in Price for 50 years. He enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. He lived in Pleasant Grove the past 18 years. He spent the past 26 winters in Mesa, Arizona doing temple work.Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Jideen (Ray) Sumner, of Salt Lake City; and Joyce (Jack) Woodward, of Price; eight grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Clarcie Siefert, of Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 1995 in the Price 5th Ward Chapel, 545 East 400 North at 12 noon. Viewing will be at Fausett Mortuary Monday from 7-9 p.m. and at the chapel Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
