The 1995 Utah Valley Business Expo will showcase businesses from all over Utah Valley on Friday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Free tickets to the event can be obtained from the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce at 379-2555.Because previous shows have been so popular, this year's event will be in the Utah Valley State College student center rather than the Provo Park Hotel.
"Due to the demand and because we didn't want to turn anyone away this year, we decided to try a larger and more versatile location," said Kristi Breeden, a Utah Valley Business Expo committee member.
Businesses such as Geneva Steel, Label Express and Quality Training as well as restaurants, banks and copy centers will participate.
Those who attend will have a chance to win door prizes, listen to musical groups and attend workshops - all free of charge.
"We'll have thousands of dollars in door prizes," Breeden said. "This is really going to be bigger and better." To register for a door prize, simply fill out the back of the free Expo ticket.
Brigham Young University's Jazz Legacy Dixieland Band will perform at 11:30 a.m. in the UVSC Ballroom. The BYU University Chorale will perform in the same location following a $10 luncheon at noon.
The general manager of the Utah Jazz, Tim Howells, will speak at the luncheon on the economic impact of the Utah Jazz on Utah.
String quartets and other bands will also perform at the Expo and workshops will be offered throughout the day.
