Gary Ryan Jenkins, 17, died at his home in Hoytsville, Wednesday, April 5, 1995 due to complications of Marfan's Syndrome.
He was born July 30, 1977 in Coalville, the son of Joseph Stephen and Roma Dawn Judd Jenkins. A senior at North Summit High School, Gary was a member of the golf and basketball teams and the FFA Judging Team. He was a Priest in the LDS Church, Hoytsville 1st Ward and had been employed at Rees's Enterprise. Gary loved spending time with his friends, snowmobiling and fixing his "72" Chevy pickup. He also loved helping his grandpa on the farm.Survivors include his parents, Hoytsville, two brothers and three sisters, Bart (and companion, Kathy Rydman), St. George; Rachelle and Karl Mellor, Hoytsville; Staci Jenkins, Provo; Stefani Jenkins and Skyler Jenkins, both of St. George, Utah. Also surviving are grandparents, Joe and Belva Jenkins, Coalville and Leon and Helen Judd, Hoytsville; a special niece and nephew, Lindsay and John Patrick Mellor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 1995 at 1 p.m. at the Coalville Stake Chapel. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment: Hoytsville Cemetery.
