DEATH: ETHYLE BIRKBECK HANSEN

Ethyle Birkbeck Hansen, age 95, died March 31, 1995 in San Rafael, California.

Born in Pennsylvania, January 10, 1900 to John and Annie McDaniel Birkbeck. The family moved from New Jersey to Park City, Utah, in 1907. She graduated from Park City High and Salt Lake Business College. She married Lawrence Hansen on August 22, 1923. They lived in Bingham Canyon, Park City, and Salt Lake City. Lawrence died February 26, 1962.Ethyle was employed for 23 years by Salt Lake County's Assessor's Office. She was Worthy Matron of Mountain Chapter #2, Order of Eastern Star in 1960-61, and Grand Esther in Grand Chapter in 1962-63. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile and Lybia Patrol for 26 years before moving to Calif.

She is survived by daughter, Ethlyn Ann, son-in-law, William B. Reiner, granddaughter, Jenifer Ann Reiner, all of San Rafael, Calif.; five nieces.

Memorial services will be held at Evans & Early Mortuary in SLC, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 8, 1995. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, through Daughters of the Nile, Lybia Temple No. 32, Masonic Temple, 650 East So. Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102.
