Michael Jordan broke ground Thursday on his own Golf Center, a 30-acre driving range and 18-hole miniature golf course that will be open to underprivileged children. "We just wanted to give an avenue for kids to try to learn this game," the Bulls' star said. "I hate to say this: If I had the opportunity to play golf when I was a kid, I don't know if I would have been playing basketball," Jordan said. The center is to open in August.
