Donnetta Harris Vette Jensen, 92, beloved sister and aunt, passed away at her home on Friday evening April 7, 1995 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born February 7, 1903 in Mammoth, Utah to Joseph Albert Harris and Mary Jane Simmons Harris. She was reared and educated in Salt Lake City, which was her life-long home. She married Richard Vette on September 8, 1927. After his passing, she continued to operate his successful insurance business. She later worked for many years in the fur department at ZCMI. She later married James Herman Jensen, who preceded her in death. She loved beautiful things, and her home and garden reflected her love and care. She was renowned for her floral bouquet pictures which she created using real flowers. She will be remembered for being an excellent cook, always serving meals on a beautifully set table. She loved her family and cared for her widowed mother in her home for many years. Friends and family will always remember her keen wit and sense of humor which brought joy to many people.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and brothers, Albert Wallace, Reed Simmons, Elmo LeRoy, Kenneth Earl and Lawrence Wayne Harris; and her sister, Mary Regina Holladay. She is survived by her sister, Myrle Joanna Rumpel, Castro Valley, California, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 1995, 12 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
