Bobbie Hoffman Nelson, 73, passed away peacefully April 7, 1995 in Provo, Utah.

He was born January 16, 1922 at Henderson Garfield County Utah, a son of Fredrick T. and Matilda Hoffman Nelson. He spent his early years in many communities before settling in Salina, Utah. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Married Barbara Jane Jensen September 6, 1948 in Redmond, Utah. Marriage was later solomnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He worked as a dairy farmer, cattleman, construction worker and other jobs. He enjoyed the outdoors, he and his family had a great love of animals.Survived by his wife of Salina, two sons, two daughters, Michael (Barbara) Orem; Gary (Velta), Salina; Carma (Scott) Sorensen, Mayfield; and Jeanie Nelson of Sandy; 12 grandchildren, two greatgrandsons, brother and sister Boyd Nelson, Salina; Betty Nelson, Springville.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, at 12 noon in the Salina Stake Center. Friends may call at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina Monday evening 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday at the Stake Center, 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery with military rites by Salina American Legion Post 36. Funeral Directors Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Salina and Richfield.
