Jeanine Taylor Day completed her mission on earth on April 29, 1995.
She was born with her beloved twin "Sister", Jacqueline Taylor Call, on September 16, 1929, to Bert Taylor and Estelle McPhie.Her greatest joy in life was in serving her family. Always a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served a mission to the Southern States Mission. She then met the love of her life, Russell Evans Day. They were married on January 14, 1955, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She loved and lived for her children, Russell Taylor Day, Becky Fawn Day (Reuckert), Steven Evans Day, Susan Faline Day (Murdick), and Shawn Taylor Day; and the many who considered her their second mom. She also had the opportunity to raise her grandsons, Michael, Joshua and Ian. She was also loved by her other grandchildren, Jeorge, Alix, Ez, James, Jacob, Brian, Allen, Matthew, David and Mark.
She served her faimly and the Lord with dignity and grace. She was once told that one day her children would rise up and call her name Blessed. We do. Oh, we do!
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, at Hunter 2nd Ward, 3970 South 5200 West. Friends and family may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Pleasant Green Cemetery.
