The Humane Society of Utah has scheduled several activities for its annual "Be Kind to Animals Week," which runs May 7-12. All activities will be held at the society's main office, 4242 S. 300 West:

- Sunday: Sunday Services and Blessing of the Animals, 2 p.m.- Monday: Animal behaviorists Chris Randy Parker and Arlo Brown will answer questions about pet behavior problems, 7 p.m.

- Tuesday: Kathy Hatch from Hogle Zoo will speak on endangered species, 7 p.m.

- Wednesday: Mark Stackhouse from Tracy Aviary will squawk about his feathered friends, some of which he will bring with him, 7 p.m.

- Thursday: Dr. Kathleen Braza will talk about how to deal with the grief of losing a pet, 7 p.m.
