Larry H. Miller Toyota's Dewayne Dyck hurled two no-hitters Saturday in the Vista Invitational Tournament.

Dyck's first no-hitter came against the Vista Bombers, a 1-0 shutout, fanning 15 hitters, while allowing only two walks.His second no-hitter was a 1-0 victory in eight innings over the San Jose Merchants.

He struck out 17 against the Merchants and allowed only one walk.

Miller Toyota, 16-1 on the season after losing a 4-0 game earlier in the day to the Merchants (13-1), who lost their first game of the season.

The Salt Lake City team was forced to go to the international tie-breaker rule in eighth inning to defeat the Merchants. The eighth inning started with Mike Aranzullo, who made the last out the previous inning, taking second base.

Aranzullo scored on a sacrifice fly by Gary Daniels.

Peter Meredith pitched a two-hitter in defeating the Bombers, 8-1. In posting his 992 win of his career, Meredith struck out 13.

Meredith is 7-0 this season, while Dyck is 9-0.

Both Miller Toyota and the Merchants are 3-1 in the Vista Invitational Tournament and will play today for the championship.
