Police have issued a warning to business leaders about two men who arrived in Salt Lake City on Friday claiming to represent the National Professional Minor League Football Conference.

Salt Lake police detective Mike Welch said authorities in Albuquerque are seeking the men who have taken money from businessmen in New Mexico under the auspices of setting up a minor league football team."We just don't want local businessmen to get sucked into this con. These two guys owe a lot of money to people in Albuquerque - police there are pursuing arrest warrants," Welch said.

The National Professional Minor League Football Conference, Inc., is a legitimate organization and has no affiliation with the two con-men, said Lt. Jim Jensen.
