SHARE USU TO OFFER ANNUAL SALE OF BROKEN HORSES

The 11th annual Utah State University Broke Horse Sale is set for Saturday, June 3, at 5 p.m. Horses may be viewed beginning at 2 p.m. The sale and preview will be at 1550 N. 600 East.

The horses have been trained by students in USU's horsemanship program. Each horse will be ridden through the show ring and all are guaranteed sound, said program director J'Wayne McArthur. He said the guarantee is unique to USU's sale. "At other sales, you buy the horse `as is.' If you find something wrong later, you bought that, too."Nearly all the horses are gentle and easy to work; any exceptions will be clearly identified. Older horses in the group have been on roads and mountain trails. All have been over trail obstacles and some have been worked with stock and on a rope, McArthur said.

Included in the sale group are quarter horses, paints and appaloosas.

For more information, call McArthur at 752-1251 (days) or 563-5692 (evenings).
