When one Salt Lake merchant who has been vandalized several times in the past few months by animal rights activists requested more frequent patrolling by local police, he was told it would not be possible. They are too short-handed.
These radicals have graduated from threats to broken windows and slashed tires to completely destroying one store. What will they do next? Will someone have to die, as in Oklahoma City, for law officers to stop turning their heads the other way while these radicals continue their path of destruction? If the police departments are so short-handed, why are there usually two patrol cars when someone is stopped for a traffic violation? It seems the state is far more concerned about increasing revenue than keeping the peace and preserving human life. Could it be that the law enforcement officers have their priorities misplaced as do these animal rights extremists?
