Nyet, nyet, a thousand times, nyet. That's Raisa Gorbachev's stand on Mikhail Gorbachev's possible return to politics, he says.
In an interview published Wednesday in the daily Moskovsky Komsomolets, the former Soviet leader explained his wife's objections: "Politics took away the best years. All our lives, our family was absorbed in one thing."Still, Gorbachev said his wife's concerns will not influence his plans. "She is more emotional than I am," he said.
Gorbachev, 64, has not ruled out running for president of Russia in 1996.
