Y. loses Walker
DeWayne Walker, a BYU assistant football coach for the past season, is leaving the Cougars to take a similar job at Oklahoma State.
Walker coached the Cougar cornerbacks last year. He will be in charge of all of the secondary at Oklahoma State. Prior to coaching for BYU, Walker was an assistant at Utah State for one season and Mount San Antonio (Calif.) for five years.
His duties will be taken over by secondary coach Barry Lamb for the time being while head coach LaVell Edwards searches for Walker's replacement.
The job at OSU came open when an assistant coach from the Cowboy's coaching staff was hired away by Michigan interim coach Larry Carr.
