The International Dance Folkfest returns to Carbon County Tuesday, July 18 through Saturday, July 22. Folk dance groups are scheduled to attend from Soviet Georgia, Turkey, Israel, Eastern Canada and the United States.

The teams of dancers will share their cultures through authentic folk dances, traditonal costumes and live bands with native instruments.Last summer was the first time a folkfest like this had ever been held in Price.

"We were very pleased with the first year's results in Carbon County," said Judy Bush, general director and organizer of the folkfest. "We had people with tears in their eyes last year when it was all over. We promised to make this an annual event, and we're doing it. This is great!"

The opening ceremonies will be Tuesday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. on the College of Eastern Utah football field. On Wednesday, July 19, a preview of the folkfest will be held in the Price Peace Gardens. Both of these events are free.

Performances continue Thursday, July 20, through Saturday, July 22, at 7 p.m. in the College of Eastern Utah Activity Center.
