Ronie Coppock, 9, pulls his grandfather's dinghy down a Piqua, Ohio, street to pick up friends for a ride after rains left some areas flooded. Three people were killed in a flash flood Thursday in southern Ohio, where days of high water have damaged hundreds of homes, forced dozens of evacuations and closed highways with rock slides. The three bodies were still in a submerged car five hours after a fast-running creek washed it off a road about a mile north of Wheelers-burg, said R.A. Bailey, a state highway patrol dispatcher. In central Ohio, a golfer was struck and killed by lightning Wednesday, authorities said.
