Lola Rawle Carrigan Johanson, 91, died Wednesday afternoon, of causes incident to age. Her daughters, Denece J. Ford and Sheryl J. Burgon, were at her bedside.

Lola was born March 31, 1904 at Morgan, Utah to George Edward and Ida Laura Rawle Carrigan. She was the third of thirteen children. Her childhood was spent in Peterson and Morgan. She later moved to Bingham where she met and married Daniel Frederick (Dee) Johanson, September 21, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lola and Dee were award-winning Ballroom dancers. The couple resided in Bingham until Dee's death in 1948. A network of family and friends provided constant support and love to her during her life as a widow of 47 years.Lola was the audio-visual coordinator for the Salt Lake County Library System where she was employed for 25 years. She served in many callings in the LDS Church and particularly enjoyed conducting music. She was involved in the P.T.A., Nu-I Club, and the American Library Association. She lived a life of service. She will be remembered for her continual attention to individual needs and her unfailing sense of loyalty to family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters; her sisters, Lois Barlow, Midvale; Margaret Martin, Chatsworth, California; brother, Grant Carrigan, Sandy; sisters-in-law, Betty M. Carrigan, Betty W. Carrigan, Alice Carrigan; sons-in-law, Leland D. Ford and Claron D. Burgon; grandchildren, Stacilee Ford Hosford, Corey Devon Ford, Taunalyn Ford Rutherford, Shanadee Ford Stevenson, Brook Johanson Ford, Heidi Burgon Goodsell, Brannon Dee Burgon, Holli Burgon, Braden Daniel Burgon, Haylie Burgon and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12 at 1 p.m. at the Midvale 3rd and 4th Ward Chapel, 75 South Olympus Circle, Midvale. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the chapel.

Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
