Dorothy Ann Thompson Brimhall, 78, died August 9, 1995 in Provo, Utah.

She was born April 13, 1917 in Provo, Utah, to John Stephen and Maud Alice Thompson. She lived her childhood in Wallsburg, Utah, where she attended school graduating from Wasatach High School.She married Harold S. Brimhall on December 5, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their first home was in Salt Lake City where Harold worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. They later moved to Wallsburg, Utah where they raised their family on a small farm. In 1960, they moved to Orem, Utah.

Dorothy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in the Primary, Sunday School and the Relief Society. In 1980, both Harold and Dorothy were called to work in the Provo LDS Temple.

Dorothy spent her life helping and doing things for others. She loved to quilt and made many quilts for family and friends. She loved the out of doors and spent lots of time camping. They were members of the Good Sams Club and the Old Timers Group from the railroad.

She is survived by her husband, Harold S. Brimhall; two daughters, Mrs. Dwaine (Joyce) Johnson, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Duane (Janet) Sweat, Heber City; and one son, Leon H. Brimhall and wife, Bonnie, Wallsburg. She was a proud grandma of 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, with more to come. Two sisters, Mrs. Clinton (Alice) Barter, Mrs. Richard (Dora) Daley; three brothers, Jim and wife, Nellie, Clarence and Verge Thompson. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Rick (Barbara) Rowley and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Orem Park Stake Center, 195 West 300 South, Orem. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State St., Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. or at the ward chapel, Friday one hour prior to services. Interment Orem City Cemetery.
