Bertha Andrea Maughan LaPray of Wellsville, Utah passed away on August 7, 1995 in Provo, Utah at the age of 85.

She was born April 29, 1910 in Weston, Idaho to Peter Davenport Maughan and Andrea Eliza Nielsen. She married Melvin "Clyde" LaPray on June 28, 1937 in Hayward, Calif. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were the proud parents of four sons and one daughter. They lived most of their married life in Hayward. After Clyde's stroke in 1993 they left their home of 57 years and moved to Wellsville, Utah right next door to their daughter. Clyde passed away on March 12, 1994.Bertha was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. She was a woman of great faith and devotion. She was famous for her butter mints, homemade bread and rolls, her cute sense of humor and her endearing smile. She spent her life in service to others and blessed the lives of all who knew her. Bertha was a "beloved" wife, mother and friend.

She is survived by her children, Hal and Sybil LaPray and their six children of Vidor, Texas; Barbara and Don Mason and their four children of Wellsville, Utah; Larry and Judy LaPray and their four children of San Jose, Calif.; Steven and Maureen LaPray and their five children of Provo, Utah; and Terry and Lisa LaPray and their three children of North Richland Hills, Texas. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, June LaPray, Roy, Utah; Ione Maughan, Weston, Idaho; Winona Maughan, Idaho Falls, Idaho and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Wellsville Stake Center with Bishop Don Mason conducting. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m in the Weston City Cemetery.
