Haven Holbrook Reed, age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 1995 in Bountiful, Utah surrounded by his family.

Born March 11, 1916 in Bountiful, Utah, the son of Joseph and May Holbrook Reed. Married Irene Stone, December 24, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Served in the CCC Camp. Served as a sergeant in the 747th Tank Battalion of the Army in World War II. Worked as a plasterer for 10 years before joining his brother Eldon at R & C Produce. Worked at Growers Market for 31 years. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed his family and working in his garden.Survived by his wife, Irene; children, June (Boyd) Uzelac, Bountiful; Lynda Reed, Bountiful; Blaine (Nancy) Reed, Magna; Eldon Reed, Murray; David (Marie) Reed, Layton; Joy Minear, Bountiful; Jay Reed, Bountiful; and Jim Reed, Clearfield; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Eldon Reed, Kaysville; Russell Reed, Clearfield; Harry Reed, Bountiful; Max Reed, Salt Lake City; and Ray Reed, Bountiful. Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Reed and a sister, Phyllis Squires.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
