A Pleasant Grove man, 25, was arrested early Thursday after he allegedly broke into a home, sexually assaulted a woman, stabbed her and injured her husband.

Sgt. Cody Cullimore said the man was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of attempted burglary, attempted murder and forcible sexual assault.According to Cullimore, the suspect allegedly forced his way into the home and sexually assaulted the woman. The victim's husband was awakened and was also assaulted by the suspect, after which the woman was stabbed in the upper leg.

The suspect then fled from the scene and was found a short time later at his home in Pleasant Grove.

Cullimore said a motive has been established but declined to comment about it. He did say there is no relation between the victims and the assailant.
