Loren N Oviatt, 73, died August 10, 1995 in a Provo Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born April 4, 1922 in Cleveland, Utah to N. Byron and Irene Day Oviatt. He married Desie Nielson in Gallup, New Mexico, April 28, 1947, later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.He served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, was a member of the UMWA. He loved his family and his horses.
Loren is survived by his wife, Desie of Huntington; four sons and their spouses, Warren and Debra Oviatt of Huntington; Chet Byron and Debra Oviatt of East Carbon; Kent and Christine Oviatt of Vernal; Jerry Lee and Charlene Oviatt of Huntington; brother, Dale N. Oviatt of Moab and sister, Thora Ann Fillmore of Lawrence. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Theo Nelson Oviatt and three grandsons, Chad, Brett and Tyreld Oviatt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 1995 in the Huntington First Ward Chapel. Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale will be open Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. for friends and family to sign the register. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Huntington Cemetery.
