Lawrence "Larry" J. Adams, 71, died unexpectedly in his apartment in South San Francisco on August 8, 1995. We miss him so much but know he has gone to be welcomed in Heaven by many loving relatives preceding him there.

Larry was born September 22, 1923 to Lawrence J. Adams and Emily Augusta Dalton in Parowan, Utah. He married Gertrude Page, who preceded him in death. He later married Doris Ann Terzich, they were later divorced. As a young man he played a great clarinet, sax and trumpet, in dance bands all over Utah and Nevada. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the atomic group on Tinian in the Pacific Theatre.

He worked his way up in the auto business to be owner of Adams Buick in Daly City, Calif. In his later years he chauffeured "older" people who were actually much younger than he. He was a well-liked member of the BPOE 2091 in South San Francisco, and a graceful and enthusiastic dance partner in the adult dance club, the Dance Connection in San Mateo.

He is survived by his children: Peggy Ruth (John) McIlmoil; Steven Michael Adams; Lawrence J. Adams III; Lori Ann (David) Simpson; and Mary Jane (James) Burton, sisters: Helen Hansen; Beverly Pendleton; Joan Stewart; Rene Fife; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
